HISTORY IN PARADISE
Having considered the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the continuing uncertainty due to ongoing travel restrictions within Australian States and Territories, it is with great regret to advise that the AFFHO Congress 2021 will be postponed until 2022.
The organising committee delayed the decision on postponement as late as possible in the hope that there would be greater certainty around travel and the ability for as many delegates to attend as possible.
However, the reality is that the current situation relating to travel restrictions within Australia is not improving. With approximately one third of attendees and six of our speakers unable to travel to Congress 2021, we feel that it is not fair nor feasible for the event to go ahead.
The organising committee is grateful for the support from the AFFHO committee during the process of making this difficult decision. We apologise to everyone anticipating the event on Norfolk Island and appreciate their patience and understanding in this unfortunate outcome. We also apologise for any inconvenience incurred from the postponement.
AFFHO CONGRESS 2022
The AFFHO Congress has been postponed until the 2nd to 4th August, 2022.
We anticipate there may be some amendments to Speakers and the Program schedule, however the congress inclusions for 2022 will remain the same.
All registration fees will be held in credit for the AFFHO Congress 2022 event.
